In Manitoba, thousands of people are unable to find stable housing, including people right here in Carman and the R.M. of Dufferin. Stable housing supports community sustainability, economic growth, and social cohesion by attracting and retaining the diverse population essential for local development and resilience. We need ‘Made in Carman’ solutions, but we have a lot to learn from others in our region, and throughagencies like the Manitoba Right to Housing Coalition. We are working to increase housing options that meet the definition for truly affordable housing – housing costs that do not exceed 30% of household income.
